Slimming Tablets

I am currently seeking information from anyone that has purchased slimming pills over the counter. Recently my 16 year old daughter bought some slimming pills from a local beauty salon in Biggin Hill. I do not believe that the staff who sold her the tablets had any medical qualifications & there was no questioning from them regarding her age or any underlying medical conditions. I believe that it is ethically & morally wrong to exploit young girls of this age when it could lead to serious medical & mental complications. This medication was on view in the shop window which drew her in

I would like to gather sufficient information from any parents or girls with a view to changing the current situation.

Please leave a comment & send any information to jhphotography00@gmail.com

Child Model Agencies

I am interested to hear from anyone that has signed up & paid money to a child model agency for which they have not received any work. Whilst most agencies will not be able to guarantee work (& this is understandable) I believe that it is wrong to charge a fee to include your child on their database with the promise that your child has the looks to get some contracts. A charge of £120 for website designers to include your child on their site is extortionate & I believe is really a cover for charging an agency fee.

I would like to build data on any particular & unscrupulous companies. Please leave a comment & then send individual details to jhphotography00@gmail.com

If there is sufficient information to show that these companies are exploiting parents then they should be brought to account

A word of warning do not give away your money to join an agency lightly on the expectation that you will recover it from any contracts

Paparazzi

I would be interested to hear from anyone that has worked for any celebrity picture agencies in London as a photographer. In particular I would like to know if you have worked as a freelance or on a day rate (£30 a day) & found that your images have been published or posted on an associated website for which you have not been paid. It may be that you have not received the salary or payment for any of your work or had difficulty in obtaining information about which of your images have been published. If working as a freelance was there a contract signed or were the terms & conditions explained before you started work. I would like to receive details on any individual cases or particular companies as I believe that action can be taken to recover monies owed. The more information that can be obtained the better. Please leave a comment & then send details to jhphotography00@gmail.com

A word of warning to any prospective paparazzi photographers - ensure that the terms of employment are fully explained before you start work & where possible get a signed contract. Have a full understanding of how your images will be used & whether they will just be to promote someone elses website without any form of payment. If you don't mind working for £30 a day(less than the minimum wage) clarify how & when you are going to get paid. If you notice that your work has been published in the media be sure to get a sales report.

It can be a big deal if you are wasting your time & effort!
